Most groups on GroupCen are private, which is the recommended option. In these cases, the group admin or creator will set up a private group and invite you to join. Once you accept the invitation, you will be added automatically.

For public groups, which are not recommended, you can go to the Groups page, browse available groups, and click Join. Some of these groups may still require approval, which makes them private. If approval is required, your request will be sent to the group admin, and you will be added once they accept it.
